About Junction
An editorial crossroads that publishes from the points where policy, climate, culture and design meet.
Junction is an independent news and reading site built around a single editorial idea: the most important stories of 2026 are no longer moving along a single track. They meet, diverge and meet again at junctions — points where policy, climate, capital and culture cross. Our job is to publish from those crossings.
What we publish
Daily briefings, field guides and slow-design notes. Our desks cover policy, climate, culture, design, markets and science. We avoid clickbait, push notifications and sensationalism. We aim for short, well-sourced pieces on weekday mornings, and longer field reports when a story earns them.
How we work
- Independence. Our editorial decisions are made by our editorial team. We accept no payment for coverage.
- Sources. We cite the documents, datasets and people behind every claim. Where reporting relies on a single source, we say so.
- Corrections. When we get something wrong, we correct it visibly at the top of the article, with the date of the change.
- Voice. We write in the second person. We prefer plain English. We do not use jargon to dress up small facts.
Reading the atlas
Every article is a waypoint on the atlas. The masthead shows you the live wire and today's reading time. The coordinate bar below it lists the categories as stations, each with a numeric stop. Articles that share a category are filed together on the relevant category page.
